One of my favorite ways to give you more space is working with what you have. When you have a perfectly good standard shelf, I can easily add lots of storage underneath it, as shown in this video.
This family recently moved into their newly renovated home. I see this all the time, but a small hall closet like this is set up with a builder-grade shelf and rod combo. They figure at some point they’ll get around to updating it…or wait until they have the budget.
In this case, this was going to be their linen closet and everything was piled on the floor. This situation wasn’t going to last long for mom - lol!
Together we decided a simple and inexpensive solution would do the trick: Leave the shelf where it is and add a few Elfa shelves below it.
Works like a charm every time!
